Designerin and Goldsmith KB
Since graduating from the Royal College of Art in 2006, Katja designs her own tableware lines and works as a design consultant for some of the largest flatware companies in the world.
Despite designing and redefining utensils for the table, Katja is a trained Gold and Silversmith. In 2009 she started her own jewellery line around Lewis Carroll's novel 'Alice in Wonderland' as part of the London Jewellery Design Week and her back then Studio, 'Studio North'.
In 2010, after spending some time in Berlin, her main focus started to be the wearability of objects and jewellery, creating contrasts in colour, structure and familiar techniques of how jewellery 'should' be worn and perceived. The line 'Collectables' is a very playful jewellery line she created, where the chain is the key element that holds different elements together in order to create always changing patterns and possibilities of how it can be disposed.
